The Kids’ Corner

One of my very favourite things to do is write poetry for kids!

You’re allowed to be loud, You’re allowed to be proud, You’re allowed to stand out From the rest of the crowd. You’re allowed to go slow, You’re allowed to say no, You’re allowed to decide That you don’t want to go. You’re allowed your own way, You’re allowed just to play, You’re allowed to be having A not so good day. Just as long as you’re fair, And as long as you’re kind, You can run your own race, You can speak your own mind. If anyone says that you shouldn’t be loud, That you shouldn’t stand up, That you shouldn’t be proud. You can tell them, ‘You’re wrong about that. I’m allowed.’
